21st Balkan Championships for Children 2016

Dear Friends

It is a great honor for me to invite all competitors from the Balkan countries to participate in the 21st Balkan Championships for Children, which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, on 27- 29 May 2016.

Organizing such an event is prestigious and a great responsibility.

We hope that all participants will feel the Serbian hospitality.

Karate Federation of Balkan is actively working towards the endorsement of the philosophy and spirit of Karate, promotes and develops Karate as an elite sport, as well as a mass sport for everyone. The Balkan Karate Championship in Belgrade is more than just a competition, it is a place where friendship, respect and tolerance meet.

The Karate sport is a challenge to the human spirit, the will and strength of the human body, daring and respect towards the opponent and a ce

ntury old wisdom from the path.

Karate speaks all languages and connects all people and generations, regardless of race, sex and religion.

I wish all participants good health and strength, boldness respect and dignity, and many sports victories.

SPORT HALL "RANKO ŽERAVICA"ince its foundation in 1979, the business management imperative of the Sports Hall represents an

offer focused on customer needs, with the constant introduction of new contents and service quality improvement.

This facility is open to users over 350 days a year.

Since its opening in 1968, the Sports

Hall hosted the top clubs and competitions and basketball,

volleyball, handball players and many clubs of different martial arts also found their place in the Sports Hall.

More than 1,000 appearances in national and international competitions were performed at the Sports Hall.

Belgrade Karate Winner, Golden Boxing Glove, Volleyball Tournament Cities, Protur-Table Tennis,

European Championships in Sambo, Student World Championships in Taekwondo, and Balkan Karate Championships are just some of the many sports events held in the Sports Hall. Yugoslavia nostalgic people still have the memory of a great Sports Futsal Tournament which during the

seventies and the eighties of the twentieth century used to gather more than 700 teams from the former Yugoslavia. In 2009, the Hall was one of the hosts of the Universidad.

In addition to sports activities, the Sports Hall, due to its acoustics, is a frequent host of top cultural events. The voices of many grand names in the music scene filled with delight thousands of

visitors.

Blondie, The Stanglers, Public Enemy, Placebo, Cool and the Gang and Brian Adams are just some of the concerts star hosted in the Hall, but for many years on the court traditionally is organized the dance contest Beodance Open.
