As the President of a Federation I’m honored to serve, it’s with great pleasure that I address the Federation’s

welcome greetings, as well as my personal ones, to all the participants in the Venice Cup, a competition that

has now reached its 25th edition.

 

It’s a very important appointment for all karate lovers, an appointment that has reached remarkable renown

thanks to its technical and organizational levels and that has witnessed the participation of a large number

of athletes and of spectators.

I wish therefore to express my gratitude to the protagonists of the Venice Cup and when I say protagonists I

mean all the people practicing this sport with love and passion, the people who will be making this exciting

competition possible, namely the athletes and their instructors, the Referees, the Managers and the foreign

Guests, the spectators, the Institutions, the Organizers and their staffs.

So I express my special greetings to the ASD ASI Karate of the Veneto Region, Mr. Valdi Vardiero, the architect

of a sporting event that has now reached its 25th edition, and to his staff for the perseverance and passion

shown in the complex organization of such an event.

My most respectful greetings also go Caorle City Government, the Venice Cup long-time special host, for

the attention bestowed onto this event and its participants, and for the precious cooperation offered.

We are all sure that this “silver” edition of the Venice Cup too will be successful for the excellent organization

and for the competitions’ results. At the end of these three days we’ll get one additional confirmation on the

undeniable validity of Italian karate, a top-ranker for years.
